D O A M

Whirled into existence by a tenacious splur of random words, taken and rooted form in a scrawl of an ambigious hatted figure, scrawled in some sketchbook has now developed into a curious fledgling personal project of mine now known as DoaM.

The aim of ubertango.com in conjunction with this various branch sites is to document that process from concept art, to storyboard, music and animation, script to novel, to whatever it might well be.

The vital essence behind all of this is the desire to tell a great story, one to be remembered. This could be a most auspicious place, filled with the plunder of ages, sages of wisdom, mages of wonder, guages of will, stages of sanity and pages of confusion, confuzzlement and muddling splendour.

I implore you to rap yourselves in your sanity, and prepare to enter the Realms of Metaphor.

C O N C E P T

The fundamental element to convey the idea and essence of it. Here's a couple I have offhandedly found for your amusement.

F A Q

If you've scrolled down and read everything and are still at a loss as to what this section is all about, then continue reading, and if there are still questions plaguing your mind then email me and ask them. I'd be happy to inform you in so far as avoiding spoiling anything.

Q: What are the Realms of Metaphor?

A: The Realms of Metaphor are a fictitious set of worlds linked together in an unconventional manner which overlooks or ignores gravity, and is the setting for the story of DoaM.

Each one is unique unto itself, and explore a different nature and feeling which will reflect upon the characters as they travel. With each, a new meaning or message throughout the story can be explored, unearthing new themes and side stories along the way.

Q: Like what is it? I mean, apart from the story but what's the premise? Like is the protagonist looking for something to eat? Or, you know, that kind of thing?

A: The premise in this case is that the Hatavar has forgotten who he was, or should be and so in turn attempts to discover his past while travelling to piece together, who, what and why he is. I suppose it is a quest to discover one's own meaning and purpose in life I guess.

Q: Isn't it going to be hard considering like the character could walk some place and not actually find out anything about himself?

A: The memories return to him in time, and because of specific events which will occur. This isn't a simple case of amnesia. Additionally to the premise is that Hatavar must ultimately prove that he has free will, by acting against the agents of his worlds' obligations. Also he has a number of guides along the way.

Q: Is there an ending?

A: Not as definitively yet… but yes. There will be one. Everything must end, to begin anew.

Q: Are there any more questions?

A: That depends entirely upon how curious you are.

{ My thanks go to Ryushi for these questions.)
